Zenit (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Zenit mobile application and the website dj.zenit.to (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name (stage name), and password. If you sign up with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Profile Information
Information you voluntarily provide for your DJ profile: bio, city, country, genres, profile photo, cover photo, and links to your music or social media.

Booking Information
When you receive booking inquiries through Zenit, we store event details (date, venue, event type), client contact information (name, email), and quote/payment details.

Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the app, including pages viewed, features used, and interactions (likes, saves, follows). This helps us improve the Service.

Device Information
When using the mobile app, we may collect device type, operating system, and push notification tokens (if you enable notifications).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Display your public DJ profile
  • Deliver booking inquiries and notifications
  • Send you relevant updates (new music, booking alerts)
  • Improve the Service based on usage patterns
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, booking updates)
  • Send optional marketing emails (weekly digest, trial reminders) — you can unsubscribe at any time

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:

  • Public profile: Your DJ profile (name, bio, genres, city, releases) is publicly visible. This is the core purpose of the Service.
  • Booking inquiries: When a client submits a booking inquiry, they provide their name and email, which are shared with you.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate Zenit:
    • Supabase (database and authentication)
    • Vercel (hosting)
    • Resend (email delivery)
    • Apple (push notifications)
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your profile information at any time via dj.zenit.to
  • Download your data by contacting us
  • Delete your account via Settings on dj.zenit.to
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email
  • Disable push notifications via your device settings

7. Cookies

The web platform (dj.zenit.to) uses essential cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children’s Privacy

Zenit is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification.
